Welcome! My name is Joe and I'm a Sr. MSP Analyst for IAM services based out of NYC. I have a desire to grow in both technical and professional knowledge, especially in regard to cloud architecture and cybersecurity, stemming from a passion about technology and learning about new environments/systems. It is this desire for exposure and growth that led me to both cybersecurity and cloud, two fields with widespread exposure and unprecedented impact.

I have experience working with tech in a variety of settings, including as a developer while studying for my degree, as an educator while working as a teaching assistant, and as a cross-functional advisor while working as a solutions engineer and MSP analyst. This varying experience has allowed me to develop an appreciation for the many different ways in which people will use a given technology, whether as a customer, student, developer, or administrator, as well as allowed me to realize a passion for the challenge and satisfaction that comes with the design and implementation of solutions.

My time working with identity management technologies and the numerous related certifications I have achieved has provided me with the ability to both use and explain IAM protocols such as OIDC, SAML, and OAuth, including their pros and cons, as well as other IAM principles such as SSO, MFA, and user migration/management.

I also have completed multiple AWS certifications which have provided me with the foundational knowledge needed to complete the projects located on this page.

Managed and supported Okta tenants for client organizations, as well as other IAM solutions such as Sailpoint, PingIdentity, and ForgeRock.

Advised on best practices for creating a secure IAM environment, including how to properly enable authorization policies for features such as MFA, SSO, as well as application integrations.

Communicated environment status and addressed/escalated issues with IAM systems.

August 2022-March 2023

Worked on resource team called PreSales Academy with primary duties of training and practicing to become a trusted technical advisor to customers. Other primary duty of supporting frontline sales teams in their campaigns via collaborating on and editing demonstrations for use by senior SEs.

Tailored demonstration environments to address customer needs and highlight the business value of an optimized future-state.

Designed and created Stand and Deliver videos on various product implementations for internal training and customer viewing.

Gained education on cloud technologies and frameworks (primarily AWS) and became proficient in conveying the monetary and practical values of cloud technologies to customers.

Designed and created new documentation detailing product implementations to support frontline SE teams in creating their demo environments.

Designed various automations using Okta Workflows, integrated both third-party and custom applications (Salesforce, Slack, etc.) into an Okta tenant, and created customized authentication policies to drive a Zero Trust framework.

January 2021-May 2022

Teaching assistant for University's intermediate C++ and comprehensive Java courses (~70 students each semester).

Took initiative to implement and design weekly recitation sessions to teach technical concepts to students with little prior exposure. Included both theory lectures and and guided hands-on coding sessions.

Held office hours to personally clarify related concepts, troubleshoot errors in student programs, and guide students in learning the importance of related topics.

Graded students assignments, labs, and exams while providing comprehensive feedback and recommended paths of future study.
